The going rate for a football profile: pick a league, a position, an age band, a foot and a nationality, and read the median fee paid or the median value on the books - with the number of deals it is built from, the spread around it, and every deal listed.
"What is a player like this worth" has two honest answers and they are not the same number. One is what clubs have actually PAID for that profile - disclosed fees, between real clubs, attributed to the league the buyer was in at the time. The other is what players of that profile are WORTH on the books today. Both are here, they are never mixed, and each carries the count it was built from: a median of five deals is an anecdote, so under eight this states no rate at all rather than one that would not survive being asked about.
